Last week on Veteran’s Day, I was reminded of how thankful I am for the freedom that those who serve provide for us. I also realized they teach us so much about family and loyalty. Honor, courage, commitment — these are the Marine Corps values that can be applied to any home or any family.
Using Marine Corps Values at Home
Having core values in an organization is not a new thing, and it’s not a new thing for a family either. The Marines set a special example for us because the Corps makes a point of demanding that each Marine lives by the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment in everything he or she does.
Should our families be any different?
The Marines give us many opportunities to learn from them and admire them. This is just one of them. Take some time out of your day to reflect on that and think about what you can do to live the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment in your home.
Thank you to all our veterans who serve our country, past, current, and future.
